Youth Refugee Education and opportunity
Youth Refugee Education has been largely missing within the literature and in practice. This is in part due to the way in which International Agencies and Non-governmental organizations define youth and frame their education. Through a careful review and analysis of numerous reports and other Web based materials being produced by a sample of organizations, the relationship between how the youth are portrayed and the purpose of education in emergencies are illustrated. In order to provide purposeful and relevant education for youth in emergencies, the organizations providing education must reexamine the current lens that they use to define youth and consider applying a different framework.
