United Nations participation in Korean affairs: 1945-1954

Since the end of the second World War the position of Korea has become tremendously important in world affairs. In particular the actions of the United Nations in respect to the Korean conflict have been of special significance in indicating this increased importance. It is the purpose of this study (1) to review the achievement of the United Nations in the establishment and recognition of the Republic of Korea, and (2) to study the United Nations collective activities against Communist aggression in the Korean war.
