United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child's impact on Ethiopian street children's access to basic education
This study investigates if the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) has an impact on the Ethiopian Government, international and local NGOs, and United Nations agencies in regards to street children's rights to basic education. While in Ethiopia, the author used both qualitative and quantitative methods to acquire research materials derived from Ethiopian government agencies, bi- and multi-lateral organizations, international and local non-government organizations, Web sites, etc. Also, the author attended on-site visits and assessed street children education programs being implemented in various capacities. The intention for this research is for educators, development organizations, and others to use this document as a research tool to assist in the funding of future street children basic education programs.
