Transparencies. (Original short stories)

These stories reflect the ambivalence men and women feel as they struggle for intimacy. In "Close to the Bone," a young pregnant woman tries to come to terms with loss and her sense of family. In "Weekend in Dublin," two sisters discover new perceptions of each other. Haunted by the murder of a classmate, the protagonist of "The Beauty Queen" learns about sexuality and danger. "Transparencies" is the story of a man and woman whose visions of each other jar with the reality of their relationship.
