Trade press coverage of the drug and pharmaceutical industry

The purpose of this paper is to examine the trade press of a particular field of our economy--the pharmaceutical industry--in order to demonstrate the importance and functions of this specialized media form. It is hoped that this project will afford an understanding of the significance, the operation, and the value of the trade press to those who might not know or appreciate these facts. It is further hoped that the study will serve as a guide to the trade press itself, giving to those who might be so involved within an endeavor that they are unable to view their efforts objectively an insight into their work and achievements.
