This paper presents data on the linear thermal expansion of various heat resisting alloys (nickel-chromium, iron-chromium and nickel-chromium-iron alloys) manufactured in the United States. These data will be useful to physicists, engineers, metallurgists and others in the use of these alloys, for example in the design of equipment for modern processes. Critical regions were located on the thermal expansion curves of some of the alloys. Consideration must be given to the critical points in determining the heat treatment suitable for each type of alloy.
