The work of the Council of Economic Advisers in interpreting the concept of the nation's economic budget

This is a study of the Nation's Economic Budget concept and its implementation by the Council of Economic Advisers. No attempt has been made to discuss the validity of the concept or to evaluate the interpretations placed upon the concept by the Council. There has been no discussion of the technical questions involved in computing statistical data. The emphasis has been placed upon the administrative aspects rather than upon the economic problems involved in the interpretation of the Nation's Economic Budget. This study is unique to the extent that a good part of the information presented cannot be found elsewhere among present written materials on the subject.
