The social significance of German motion pictures of the Third Reich, 1933-1945

This study is based on the holdings of the Office of Alien Property which comprise almost four thousand German motion pictures (approximately 30 million feet of film), on the impressions which the writer of this study has gained firsthand by observing German motion pictures in Latvian and German cinemas before and during World War II, as well as on several film magazines and books on German motion picture, and the country's history and social organization.
