The introduction of groupware into a federal government agency

This paper explores how one organization in the Federal Government used groupware technology to collaborate on the future of their organization during the down sizing initiatives enacted by the 104th Congress. The issues and problems surrounding the organization's use of this technology will be discussed along with the unexpected results that occurred over a six month period. The results of this study stress the importance of understanding how technology such as groupware can influence and impact an organization.
