The First Trip Home & Other Stories is a collection of original short stories, flash fiction, and a novella that centers around periods of change, movement, and the personal relationships that are born during those periods. The stories work in a number of genres, including, but not limited to, historical fiction, magical realism, and others. Furthermore, the stories are centered around a number of characters who are based on my grandfather, his family members, and other historical figures.
