The effectiveness of using XDB database management system as an evolutionary prototyping tool for mainframe applications

This paper looks at the effectiveness of using XDB$\sp\circler$ Relational Database Management System as a prototyping tool for mainframe type applications. The study defines prototyping and the evolutionary rapid prototyping methodology, discusses the value of using XDB as a prototyping tool, and presents a case study in which XDB was used for prototyping. Finally, the study concludes by approving of XDB and listing the main advantages and disadvantages of using it for evolutionary rapid prototyping.
