This study involves only one experiment. This experiment attempted to measure the productivity of left-handed users on the numeric keypad when positioned on the left side of the keyboard vs. the standard positioning on the right side of the keyboard. The participants were given a series of mostly numeric entries to be conducted on LOTUS spreadsheet, measuring both their speed and error rate. The results of this experiment show no significant difference in productivity between the two different positioning of the numeric keypad. Meaning that even if left-handed users were to use the numeric keypad positioned on the left side of the keyboard, an increase in productivity will not be achieved.
