The Sun Dogs

Matty, a horny sixteen year old from Port Hope, "the land of lost hope," has recently lost her mother. Her father Clive, whom she has a strained relationship with, appears to have channeled his grief and unrequited love into the care and feeding of his beloved pitbulls Apollo and Rage. Matty resents her father and resents the dogs even more. In walks Wolfe, Clive's best buddy and Port Hope's local dog catcher/animal burner. The sexual attraction between Matty and Wolfe is instant when they both discover their passionate dislike for dogs. As their feelings for each other grow stronger so does their hatred for Apollo and Rage. Matty and Wolfe plan the perfect dog murder, however, the murder turns out to be not so perfect. The Sun Dogs is a dark and compelling journey of one girl's quest for love and dog revenge who in the end discovers it's a dog-eat-dog world.
