The Political and Social Views of William Howard Taft

This paper is an attempt to present the social and political views of William Howard Taft in a systematic manner. Since a chronological presentation would destroy the continuity of viewpoints, a topical organization of material has been decided upon. When the passage of teh time resulted in a change of his position on a particular subject, the events which probably caused the change have been indicated.
