The problems which our present day society faces can be mere readily solved, and the life of each individual made more fruitful, if such a study is given to them. We face all problems alike; that is they are all interpreted in the light of mind. Social problems, then, can best be solved when the individuals which make up society are considered as the main interest, for all mass terms are but abstractions. Society and the universe, exist, not for such abstractions, but for the only reality in that society, and in that universe- the human being. The most important footers in this society of individuals are undoubtedly the institutions which exist for the regulation of community life. They too, are based on fundamental principles; that is, they have a philosophy. In solving the social problems of the world, scientist and philosopher must join in analyzing and studying the fundamental institutions which govern society. Thus we shall get to fundamentals and ultimates, for institutions also exist for the "crown of Creation" - the individual.
