This study is a compilation of facts dealing with mental clinics for children. The approach is from an administrative point of view rather than from a psychological one. The writer has tried to organize and to present the material in a practical and usable form without jeopardizing its authenticity. It is hoped that the date thus presented will give to the lay men a complete and concise picture of the development of the situation as it is today, and will arouse a desire for closer contact with future developments. The study attempts to show the phenomenal growth of work in mental hygiene in recent years and the ever increasing trend of work away from adulthood toward infancy.
