Some months ago the writer of this treatise was assigned the task of preparing for the American Agency of the General and Special Claims Commissions, United States and Mexico, a series of monographs setting forth the main phases of what is known as the Mexican revolutionary period, that is to say, the period from November 10, 1910, the date on which Madero's "Plan of San Luis Petosi" was scheduled to become effective, to May 31, 1920, when Adolfo de la Huerta was sworn in as Provisional President of Mexico.
