This collection of original poetry illuminates the problems and explores the mysteries and ironies encountered by a young man struggling to create a space for his unconventional life and art to flourish in a world where poetry is not highly prized and convention is. The work is divided into four sections dealing respectively with the nature of the physical world, mortality and religion, the relation of the physical to the spiritual, and the responsibility and obligations of family and friendships. Counterbalancing a deep love of academia and classical languages with the spirit of a rock-n-roll guitarist who spends most of his free time traveling and scuba diving, this poet explores and examines the overlapping lines of circumstance, boundary, and relation, weaving a kind of patchwork quilt which underscores the unity of the disparate elements of his life.
