This study is an analysis of the broad aspects of the operation of the Kansas legislature since 1900. Because the Kansas legislature meets in regular session only in odd numbered years, the data which form the basis for this study are for the regular sessions of 1901 through 1947. While the primary concern is with the broad phases of the legislative organization, processes, and products of the regular sessions, some reference is made to special sessions of the Kansas legislature.
