The Influence of Girolamo Frescobaldi on Keyboard Music in the Baroque Era

The major purpose of this study is to establish the importance of the keyboard compositions of Girolamo Frescobaldi as an outstanding influence on We development of keyboard music in the Baroque Era* This will be done mainly by analysis of the keyboard works of Frescobaldi as well as representative works of succeeding composers and the comparison of the later compositions with those of Frescobaldi.
