The Divine Madness of Sky Lady is an excerpt of an original novel. It is the story of Jena, a young American woman who is awakened to a spiritual search at an early age by discovering a picture of the Hindu goddess Kali. As Jena matures so does her increasing need for a more fulfilling life. Shortly after Jena's marriage, she encounters an Indian Swami who reawakens, her spiritual longings. Thereafter Jena is torn between her vivid and blissful experiences with Kali and the stable comforts of her marriage. As Jena becomes more engulfed in her subjective experiences it appears to those around her that her world is dismantling as she becomes unable to function in the daily routines of life. Has Jena become divinely mad in the mystical ancient tradition, or has she lapsed into the realm of the insane?
