The Comptroller's Division, Federal Housing Administration

There is a growing interest in the use of an official designated as a "Comptroller" in the conduct of the public's business. One agency of the Federal Government in which such an official has been used is the Federal Housing Administration. The Comptroller's Division of the FHA through which the Comptroller carries out his responsibilities is discussed in this thesis.
