The purpose of this paper is to present the comparative constitutional resistance to pulmonary tuberculosis manifested, by the four main personality reaction types, as determined, after an investigation into the incidence of this disease, type of lesions, course of the disease, age at death, and cause of death according to sex and race; as well as to present certain other statistical data pertaining to these mental conditions. Psychologically we are able to classify all individuals whether sane or psychopathic into four main personality reaction types, namely syntonic, paranoid, epileptoid, and schizoid. In order to refresh the reader's mind with a picture of the personalities considered it is thought well to give a short description of these four reaction types, and then to present the results of the investigation concerning them.
