The Communist Party of the United States and the Spanish Civil War, 1936-1939

Since the beginning of the so-called "cold war", a vast amount of time, money and effort has been and is being spent in the Western World in general and the United States in particular, on research and analysis of international communism in all its aspects. One of the important focal points of this effort is the study of the use of indigenous communist parties as instruments of foreign policy by the mother land of world Communism, the USSR.
