In reviewing the various systems of education of influential peoples during the different ages of history, it appears that the basis of nearly all education, either unconsciously, or consciously is biological; not only in the modern interpretation of the word but in the widest application to nature or to natural laws which relate to living things. This would include the effort and desire to understand life and its origin; the effort to get control of and to modify life energy for the definite purpose of developing the physical, intellectual or spiritual state.
