The Beauty Sleeping in the Swamp is an original novel blending European fairy tale traditions and New England folklore with urban legends about the Hockomock Swamp. Through the Hero’s Journey of a neurodivergent protagonist experiencing the trials and triumphs of autistic adulthood, the author explores questions of legacy, loss, and the cyclical nature of history in a fabulist version of a Massachusetts town.
