Summer Ghosts is a one-hour screenplay concerning the questions of return and identification. George Kessler, an Englishman, returns to a remote summer resort on the island of Crete after ten years. At that time, and while George was having a brief romantic story with a young Greek girl, an old villager promised to show him the ghosts that roamed the resort's desolate valley. The promise went unfulfilled and now George Kessler comes back as a freelance reporter interested solely in the story of the ghosts. Once back at the resort, he finds out that his ex-girlfriend is married and does not care about the ghosts or any of the other myths of her native island. What George Kessler must eventually decide is how to reconcile the contradictory memories and expectations of past and present events.
