Sufism as tool for positive peace: A proposal for transforming the U.S.-Iran relationship

The turbulent state of U.S.-Iran relations, while relatively dormant for several years, is increasingly becoming an alarming international issue. With the U.S. having a strong military presence in the region and Iran attempting to make itself a more respected force on the international stage there is an urgent need for these two nations to develop a positively peaceful arrangement. In an attempt to create positive peace between the U.S. and Iran, the following work depicts the utility of the stages of the mystic path of Sufism in being a valuable tool in achieving this goal.
