Stage directions in the editions of four of Shakespeare's tragedies from 1604 to 1765

The purpose of this paper is to present a collation of the stage directions and the progress scenic arrangement in the texts of Macbeth, Hamlet, King Lear, and Othello from the Quarto editions of the plays through the editions of Rowe, Pope, Theobald, Hanmer, Warburton, and Johnson.
