It is the writers desire to make chemistry teachers more aware of the increasing demands being made on them by the "Atomic Era" and now they can prepare themselves to cope with these demands. Also, the writer feels that this study will help her, as a potential chemistry teacher to realize what a tremendous job lies ahead and how vitally important it is that she prepare herself adequately before undertaking this responsibility. Realizing the scientific mindedness of America, today, her willingness to help teachers maintain high standards, and the cooperativeness of boards of education, the writers is quite optimistic about the future. We owe our young future scientists the very best in scientific instruction, and we are all working and must continue to work together toward this end.
