Signs of Life

Lucky Charm is a collection of stories which explores the relationships of women with their fathers, their lovers, and occasionally, with themselves. By examining interactions during a small period of time, relationships are illuminated which mold and shape these women into who they are, and who they will become. What is interesting about the father-daughter relationship versus the relationship of lovers, are the both the distinctions, as well as the overlaps. The fact that there are similarities at all causes great complications. While most of the stories in the collection address one relationship or the other, when read in succession, there should be some sense of the two ideas speaking to each other in a conversation amongst different characters.
