Role of Banks in Financing the United States Business Expansion, 1950-1955

<p>The purpose of this study is to present the role of banks, especially the commercial banks, in financing the United States business expansion for the period 1950-1955. The plan of research is also aimed at determining the role of the Federal Reserve Banks in influencing the supply of credit or money through commercial banks.Other financial institutions playing a role in supplying funds for business purposes such as savings banks and life insurance companies are also to be analyzed.</p>
