Reaping Season

This is an original novel. In the isolated farming community of Jenkins County, the extension of a highway through the town sounds the end to the way of life they have had for decades. At the center of the story is the Brym family, who lives in silence, enshrouded by secrets, and haunted by the murder of their daughter, Elsie. The new highway brings to the town Emily, who is searching for the man who murdered her daughter years before. As Emily comes closer to the truth about her daughter's murder, and closer to Clovis Brym, she is brutally murdered. The murder sparks a series of events within the town, bringing to the surface Silas's tainted past as a war veteran who came to Jenkins County to run away from persecution. Only the screams of Silas Brym during the night tell the tale of his history of violence.
