Rank-Related Plans Compared with the Classification Act of 1949 as a Means of Determining the Compensation of Scientists and Research and Development Engineers

The principal method of research used in this study was a review of existing literature and official documents. Where appropriate, use was made of fugitive materials that were not generally available for public use at the time of preparation of this thesis. These materials were supplemented with reports and notes made as a result of field trips and personal interviews on these matters over a number of years. Some of the interviews were for the purpose of obtaining facts and expressions of attitude and opinion first-hand.
