This paper presents the research, analysis, design, application and testing of an information management support system for broadcast radio managers. The interpretation of data, interviews and on-the-job work experience revealed a need for a specific management tool that could optimize the effectiveness of the radio manager's organization of data, generate reports and supply timely, relevant, current and historical information to use in various decision-making opportunities. It should be noted that, due to the selection procedures, the participating managers constitute a purposive survey sample, not a true probability sample. Nevertheless, this study provides useful insight into the information needs of the broadcast radio sales manager through the research, design and implementation of a system that will deliver decision-making information for effective planning and control.
