thesis
posted on 2023-09-06, 02:39 authored by Joseph Patrick O'Connell, Jr.The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor created a new ear of military power, prestige, responsibilities, and accomplishments for the United States Army. It also climaxed two decades of small military budgets which generally confined the Army to its posts and camps and limited its contact with the American people.Since World War II the Army has been identified more closely with the life of our nation, primarily because of the service obligation of citizenship. To a more limited degree, however, the present close relationship between the Army and the American people is due to ap public relations effort.
