Program Planning in Three Selected Multi-Product Companies

The purpose of this Thesis is to learn whether the program office concept, which is found in public administration, has any parallel in private industry, and to describe three different approaches to programming in important multi-product companies.Our investigation is directed at the organization of programming within the central office; it does not examine the impact of such programming on the constituent units, nor does it essay to evaluate effectiveness.
