Problems of the Liberian Press

At the southern extremity of the western bulge of the continent of Africa lies Liberia - "a land of evergreens and beautiful sunshine."With an area of 43,000 square miles, the country is slightly larger than the State of Ohio in the United States. It is also larger in area than Haiti, the Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, Panama, Portugal or Switzerland. But it does appear that the peoples of the world know less about Liberia than any of these countries.
