Principal Problems in the Administration of the Ryukyu Islands

Though small in size, the Kingdom of the Ryukyu Islands loomed large in the history of the Far East. At one time, it was the power which is mediated among the foreign affairs of China, Japan, Korea, and the sultanates of southeast Asia. It was the entrepreneur between north and south and the communicator of the east China seas.
