In the post-war period Finland has been subjected to the inflationary pressures found in most other national economies and in addition has had to face some unique economic problems which have added to the difficulty of achieving monetary stability.It is the purpose of this study (1) to measure the extent of inflation; (2) to describe and analyze the causes and development of inflation with particular reference to wages and prices; and (3) to describe and criticize policies adopted to combat inflation.
