Because of the rather large segment of delinquents that make a poor adjustment to their environment, there is now a growing awareness on the part of many psychologists of the need to investigate those personality traits thought to be regularly associated with incorrigible behavior and maladjustive patterns.It is readily observed that not all of the boys who commit offenses and are considered delinquent experience difficulty in adjusting to their institutional environment.
