Nation-Wide Organization in the Intercity Bus Industry

The lack of material on the growth and development of the intercity bus industry and a keen interest in the industry on the part of the author are perhaps the fundamental reasons for this study. The different growth patterns of the intercity bus industry and the intercity truck industry also seemed to warrant a study of the factors which influenced the development of the bus industry. The chief sources of information were state and federal cases, although considerable historical material was secured from Bus Transportation and the annual reports of state commissions.
