Machine Song, a science fantasy novel with dystopian and post-apocalyptic elements, explores the relationships between humans and technology. The thesis portion (part 1) shows how technology, including artificial intelligence, can be used to manipulate, threaten, and benefit individuals and society. The dynamics between organic and artificial people are shown through memory and trauma. People and things connect in moments of compassion and understanding. Thus, this thesis strives to explore the concept of human and AI interactions.
