Joy Wilcox lives an almost fabulous life in Los Angeles. When a night out on the town goes horribly out of control, she's forced to look at her life and behavior and admits she might be an over-drinker. With the help of her shrink, Joy attends Alcoholics Anonymous and realizes all she has to do is change her whole life. A tumultuous year follows and, despite many losses, she ends up gaining dignity.
