Light from the Greek Papyri on the Epistle to Philemon

The language of ordinary people of the New Testament period has been preserved for us in numerous inscriptions, likewise upon pieces of pottery, but most fully by means of the papyri. This paper confines itself to the last named source. We have papyri records written in Aramaic, Latin or Coptic, and Greek, and again we limit this paper to the Greek papyri.
