The purpose of this work has been to bring to light the political thought and activities of a group about which little is known in the United States. An attempt has been made, also, to discover something of the personality of the leaders of ”L'Action Française" movement as revealed in their writings. As the years between 1914 and 1980 marked the highlight of its history, attention has been concentrated on that particular period with special emphasis on the Treaty of Versailles. Since little has been written on the subject, other then by the men of "L'Action Française" themselves, it has been difficult to arrive at an unbiased viewpoint.
