This study was undertaken for the principal purpose of "capturing" the experiences of government and industry, mainly during World War II, in changing the usual ways of doing work so that people with limited skill and experience could be utilized in productive effort. It is hoped that the findings of this study will provide a record of experience in job modification and also be a guide for practical use.
