A basic characteristic of our democratic society is change. Never before, in the history of America, has there been greater change in all phases of modern life, than during the last fifteen years. Because of the great changes in home life, and the many problems created by modern high-speed living, there is a new awareness of responsibility toward children. There is a need for close coordination between the home and the school.
