High Dives. (Original writing)

The three short stories in High Dives look at the complex issues central to the lives of young people as they learn to define themselves as adults and develop relationships with others. In the title story, a tentative friendship with the new girl at school brings unexpected feelings to a young swimmer's emotional surface. In "The Kishkes," a recent college graduate looking for joy after her parent's divorce drives across the country and settles in San Francisco. "A Few Things About Iowa" brings us into the mind of a young woman having doubts about her serious boyfriend during a Christmas trip to his family home. The comedy "Bells Will Ring" features two sisters engaged in the uncertain pursuit of true love.
