<p dir="ltr">Great Great Great is a threefold attempt at loving the world because of the pain. Yes “because of” and not “despite.” In her poetry collection, Salcedo finds love for her family (blood and chosen), love for herself as an evolving political body, and love for the life she has in the wake of a shooting on her college campus. Rooted in a place of isolation after a pandemic and a school shooting, Isabella Salcedo finds solace through the act of listening closely to the ones she loves most. By coming home, she finds a way forward. Through prose poems, couplets, and tall stacks of intimate language, she explores the forms that can contain the connection she feels to her many loves. </p>
